Publication Overview
Nadia Heritage Project is a 300-page full-colour visual publication documenting the heritage context of Nadia district, West Bengal. Heritage photography, visual documentation and editorial design were developed as one connected publication process.
The publication was commissioned by the District Administration of Nadia, West Bengal and published by Nadia Zila Parishad, Krishnanagar.
Subject and Context
Nadia brings together religious, architectural, literary, educational and craft histories across one district. The publication brings this diversity into a structured visual record covering locations including Krishnanagar, Shantipur, Nabadwip and Chakdah.
Its visual material includes terracotta temples, sacred sites, colonial institutions, public buildings and urban heritage. Ground photography was combined with aerial views where scale, roofline or surrounding context was important.
