Publication Overview
Sowing Dreams is a case-study publication developed around education and community initiatives in Odisha. Prepared for Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI), the booklet brings approved programme material and case stories into a structured visual and editorial format.
The publication relates to the School and Community Based Quality Improvement Program (SCQuIP). Its purpose is to help readers move through programme context, individual stories and supporting visuals without losing the setting in which each story takes place.
Subject and Odisha Context
The documented material connects with education and community initiatives across Rayagada, Kandhamal and Kalahandi in South Odisha. It includes themes such as foundational literacy and numeracy, early childhood care and education, school and Anganwadi strengthening, teacher capacity development and community libraries.
These themes sit within rural and tribal education contexts. The publication presents approved material about schools, communities and education-system initiatives as a connected set of stories rather than as isolated programme statements.
Gateway’s Role
Gateway Graphics’ verified contribution covered the communication and publication layer: case-study booklet design, editorial layout, publication structuring, page hierarchy, image placement, visual storytelling and consistent visual presentation.
The work involved presenting approved programme material clearly. Gateway did not implement, independently evaluate or validate the SCQuIP programme, and no programme outcome is attributed to Gateway Graphics.
Editorial and Visual Approach
The booklet was shaped through a consistent visual language and editorial sequencing. Narrative material, photographs, maps and information were arranged within a readable publication structure, with page hierarchy helping readers distinguish programme context from individual case stories.
Portrait-led storytelling, image placement, typography and information hierarchy support the movement between overview material and the people and places represented in the publication. The result is a communication asset for institutional audiences that need to understand education and community work through specific, grounded stories.
